CBF South Carolina Missons
Minimize

CBFSC annually takes an offering to benefit specific state missions causes:

Urban Ministry through Metanoia in North Charleston

Rural Ministry through our work in Allendale

International ministry through our work with the Japanese and others throughout the state.

In 2009, gifts to the offering topped $70,000. Please consider making a gift either individually or through your church. Gift envelopes are available from the CBFSC Resource Center.  Email Debbie Haag for envelopes and promotional materials.

Work Day

We have begun an annual work day in the fall - open to all interested persons!  This is a great opportunity for your church to work firsthand with some of the ministries your money goes to support.   Email Beverly Greer for more information.

 Church Projects
Minimize

Our churches are actively involved with missions projects, both locally and internationally. We invite churches to send us articles and photographs about their projects.

Seven workers from three churches took on the task of clearing debris left behind after Gustav's violent winds tore through Baton Rouge. Tom Carter, Jerry Lark and Wayne Patterson from First Baptist Church of Pendleton are shown with Pam Williams, a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Read about the trip in an article written by Jan Causey, director of disaster assistance for Kentucky CBF.

Teaching in Romania

Twenty-eight members of Boulevard Baptist Church in Anderson spent two weeks at the Ruth School for Gypsy children in June 2007. Read a little more about the trip.

Randy Wright, former pastor of Fernwood Baptist Church in Spartanburg, has twice taught at the Gypsy Smith School in Bucharest, Romania. The students are Gypsy pastors who get no other formal pastoral education. Read Randy's accounts of his two experiences.

Gandhi School. First Baptist Church in Greenville, SC, sent a team to work with Gypsies in Hungary in September 2006. More.
