History
The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship of South Carolina was organized in 1991 by a grassroots movement of free and faithful Baptists. We are a fellowship of Baptist Christians and churches who share a passion for the Great Commission of Jesus Christ and a commitment to Baptist principles of faith and practice.
Vision Statement
We envision an inclusive network of individuals and churches committed to spiritual development and innovative ministry in our communities, our state, and our world, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to network, empower, and mobilize Baptist Christians and churches for effective missions and ministry in the name of Christ.
Administrative Council
The South Carolina Cooperative Baptist Fellowship is led by an Administrative Council that meets five times each year. Wayne Patterson, member at the First Baptist Church of Pendleton, is moderator.
National Representatives
We also have four people who represent South Carolina on the national CBF Coordinating Council.
Budget
The budget for 2010-2011 is $496,672 which is down from the 2009-2010 budget of $520,749.
35% of all undesignated gifts sent to CBFSC is kept in the state and 65% is sent to CBF in Atlanta.
